Deuxième tours du « DP World Tour Championship », les « Brits » arrivent en force !!
Au trois premières places, on retrouve trois britanniques dont le vainqueur de l’an dernier, Matthew Fitzpatrick, Tyrrell Hatton (déjà double vainqueur sur le Tour Européen cette année) et Justin Rose (vainqueur cette année sur le Tour Européen et d’un WGC).
Matthew Fitzpatrick, réalise un deuxième tours en 67 dont cinq « birdies », un « bogey » et un « eagle »… Il prend ainsi la première place provisoire de ce deuxième tours. Le garçon est particulièrement en forme. Il a réalisé un magnifique coup de bois 3 sur le par 5 du 14 pour « eagle » donné et un dernier « putt » pour birdie au 18. Matthew is on fire !
En seconde position, un autre britannique, au tempérament de feux, Tyrrell Hatton.
Il a réalisé un second tours de fou en 63 dont huit « birdies » un « bogey » et un « eagle »… L’anglais s’est particulièrement bien rattrapé après un premier tour dans le par.
Le très sérieux, Justin Rose a réalisé un bon deuxième tours en 70 dont quatre « birdies » et deux « bogeys ». Ça lui permet de toujours pouvoir décrocher la RACE TO DUBAI…sauf que…
Tommy Fleetwood, son concurrent direct pour la RACE TO DUBAI, a fait un deuxième tour de grande classe.
Il a posté un 65 dont huit « birdies » et un « bogey ». Ce score le replace complètement dans la course à la RACE TO DUBAI. En effet, il est maintenant 11ème et a gagné plus de 35 places… Go Tommy, Go !!
Sinon, les autres… les français !!
Les français sont encore loin. Mathieu Pavon, le premier français est 26ème (en 70 avec quatre « birdies » et quatre « bogeys » mais un « eagle » au 18…), suivit de Mike Lorenzo-Vera 30ème (dans le par en 72) puis vient Victor Dubuisson avec un très beau 67 (dont six « birdies » et un « bogey ») qui le font remonter à la 30ème place (il gagne 24 places) enfin Alexander Levy termine la marche (39ème) avec un douloureux 76…
Enfin, quelque autres golfeurs se sont illustrés dans ce deuxième tours :
- le thaïlandais Kiradech Aphibarnrat a produit un 67, soit son deuxième tour sans « bogey »…
- John Rham, enchaîne un deuxième tour sous le par et se place en 6ème position ;
- l’américain (qui m’est inconnu), Julian Suri, après un prometteur 68 enchaîne par un deuxième 68…et se place en 3ème position derrière Justin Rose.
